Terms of use

The rules for selling, buying and talking on Znovo. Using Znovo means you accept them.

Version of 5 October 2026

What Znovo is

Znovo (znovo.app) is a place where people sell and buy second-hand things from each other. We help you list, find, talk and agree. The sale itself is between the buyer and the seller: Znovo is not a party to it.

Znovo never takes, holds or transfers money. You pay each other directly. "Reserved" only means the seller approved the order and is holding the item for you. We never see the payment.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • One person, one account. Use your real name or a name people can recognise, and keep your contact details up to date.
  • Keep your email and sign-in codes to yourself. Znovo will never ask you for a code.

Selling

  • Sell as a private person only: your own used things, not stock bought to resell and not on behalf of a business. Traders can't sell on Znovo.
  • Sell only things you have and are allowed to sell.
  • Use your own photos and describe the item honestly, including every defect you know about.
  • Don't sell anything illegal in Portugal, or any of these: weapons, drugs and medicines, alcohol and tobacco, counterfeits, stolen goods, animals, documents, adult content, or recalled or unsafe children's products.
  • Price and shipping terms are yours to set. A reserved item can't be sold to someone else at the same time.

Buying and deals

  • The safest deal is a meetup: you inspect the item and pay only after that.
  • With shipping, the buyer pays in full before the seller sends the item. Cash on delivery is not offered.
  • Znovo doesn't check items, payments or deliveries and can't guarantee them. Report problems to us: we record them and take action on the accounts involved.
  • Both of you confirm when a deal happened. Only then can you leave reviews.

Buying from a private person

Every seller on Znovo is a private person, not a trader. EU consumer law protects people who buy from a business, so it doesn't apply to a purchase here: there is no 14-day right to return the item and no trader's legal guarantee.

So check the item before you pay, ask the seller about anything that worries you, and agree in the chat what happens if something is wrong. We say this on every listing and before you order, as EU rules ask of online marketplaces.

Chat

  • Keep the conversation on Znovo. That way we can look at it if something goes wrong.
  • Don't send payment links, don't ask for SMS codes, and don't pressure anyone to pay before they are ready.
  • When a message contains payment details, both sides see a warning. When it contains payment or contact details, we record that it happened.

Reviews

You can leave reviews only after a deal you both confirmed, and both reviews are published at the same time. Write what happened, honestly. We remove reviews that insult, threaten, share someone's private data or are not about the deal.

Donations

A seller can promise part of a sale to a fund. The donation goes from the seller directly to the fund. The seller reports it and publishes a receipt. Znovo does not check donations, so we show them as reported, not verified. Anyone can report a receipt that looks false, and we take it down if it is.

Reporting illegal content or broken rules

Anyone can report a listing, message, review, receipt or account. If you have an account, use the contact form. Otherwise write to [email protected]. Send the link, what is wrong, why you think it is illegal or breaks these rules, and your name and email.

We confirm we received your report, look at it carefully and fairly, and tell you what we decided.

What we can do

If something breaks the law or these rules, we can take down a listing, review or receipt, warn an account, pause its donation promises, or suspend or close it. We tell the person affected what we decided and why, and how to disagree.

To disagree, answer the notice or write to [email protected]. A person looks at it again. You can also turn to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to a court.

Responsibility

We work to keep Znovo available and safe, but we provide it as is. We are not responsible for items, payments or deliveries between users, or for what users write. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer or our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it.

Closing an account

You can delete your account at any time in your profile. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, as described above.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, you can also go to the courts where you live. Our contact point for users and authorities is [email protected], in Ukrainian, Portuguese or English.

When these terms change, we publish a new version, show its date at the top and ask you to accept it on your next visit, before you trade again.
